Wish List Wednesday

I ran to my local Marshall's last night to pick up a few things. And while I know my friend Emily is probably thinking, "oh great here she goes" A quick trip to Marshall's for me usually turns into a few hours later and the cards in my wallet melting.

NOT THIS TIME.

I'm turning a new leaf. and it's my new years resolution [ i'll get to that when it's time] -BUT- As I pulled out of Marshall's after I got the 2 items I needed, there it was. Staring at me. West Elm. My weakness, runner up next to target. Which I should probably mention is across the street from west elm.  [Someone really hates me. i'm convinced.]

Well, I was strong. I refrained from going in, but you can bet that I went online this morning to check out all the fun and pretty things online. Today's Wish List Wednesday consists of all the things I probably would have bought if I did get sucked into the black hole I like to call West Elm.

Color of the Year

It's Here! The Pantone Color of the Year has been announced. Remember my post predicting this years Color of the Year..? Long story short - I was wrong. Very very wrong. [Whoops] Before I get into details about my thoughts and all that good stuff, let me introduce you to the Pantone Color of the Year 2014

The thing I love most about Pantone is not only do they select a color of the year, but they also provide every piece of information you would need or want to know about the color. You can see all of the color information, inspiration, and mood boards that went into the selection process. You can even watch the video to hear how the color was selected!

Curious about what the last few years colors were? You can see them all on the pantone website, but here are the most recent.

Now as for my thoughts on the color of the year? Let's just say I would rather it be navy blue like I predicted.  However, I do think that the hues of purple and Radiant Orchid will be put to some good use this year.  I'm interested to see how designers, and more put their creative spin on the beautiful color.

Dream Home 2014

Ever wish you could live in one of those homes you see on TV that's literally perfection and it makes you think it doesn't actually exist?  Particularly those on HGTV and all of their glorious shows that you can never get sick of...? [maybe thats just me] Wish you could come home to this beauty every day after work?

You guessed it! This winter wonderland is in sunny California. Not kidding. Truckee, California Right on Lake Tahoe... A place where you can say you're from Cali but still have the New England snow and ski slopes.
