Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Who's excited for the weekend?? I know I am... It's moving weekend! The next time you see me I will hopefully be all settled into my pretty new house!! {don't worry it's just a rental} Not only am I excited to be moving into a house for normal reasons, but hey hey who wants a home tour?? I'm so excited to have a clean slate and all new inspiration to post about!

Well, getting back to the fact that it's finally friday. Here are my favorite pins from this week!

Style Me Pretty
I love this nursery. I have a bunch of girlfriends who are expecting right now so if there's a nursery on Pinterest you can bet I'm all over it! I love the look of the mid century modern dresser and the watercolor paintings are to die for!

Design Manifest
This may only be a portion of what leads on to be a beautiful living room but that is alright. Look at that side table. Driftwood side tables will never go out of style {i'm convinced!} Love the combination of mixed patterns and colors also!

One word: Lucite. Ahhhh my latest obsession. Lucite accent furniture and decor is right up my alley so I couldn't pass this one up. For those of you who don't know, lucite is just a fancy word for acrylic.

Makely
And just one more thing I love, gold accents. This DIY gold leaf vase is an amazing project to spice up any part of your home on a budget! Time to get crafty!

Home Design Collections
Don't you love the look of this eat in dining area? Taking this cozy casual area another notch and adding the pink table base screams creativity. Such a bold move pulled off flawlessly.. my applause.

Design Improvised
Ohh the joy coffee brings to the world every morning around hmmmm 8am? This coffee nook is so adorable I want to create something just like this in my new home!

Friday Favorites

Hello, Happy Friday! I am so excited for this weekend, if you've been following along this week you may know thats because I will be attending High Point Furniture market this weekend! I promise to come back with lots of pictures! As for today I want to share with you some of my favorite finds I've come across this week!

Pinterest is my go-to source for everything and anything you can think of. I spend multiple hours a day pinning away, reading and visiting site after site that's linked to each of the things I love and pin. Here are a few things I pinned this week that I'm absolutely loving:

Style Unveiled
I am beyond excited that Spring is here and the flowers are blooming outside!  This arrangement is so beautiful and I love the pop of color and hint of gold!

Made By Girl
Not only do I love everything about this picture but I'm immediately drawn to the abstract artwork on the wall.  It's oversized and bold yet so simple that it brings such a statement to this organized area.

Birds of a Feather
Again, Ginger Jars. They're such a hot commodity right now I'm so excited to see them all over market!

Breakfast at Yurman's
Isn't this room so fun? I love the mixture of black and white with bold color and the layering of the two coffee tables! This would look great in my apartment..

Parties for Pennies
This table set up is to die for! It just screams fun girls brunch, am I right? I've also been swooning over gold flatware lately and I might need to invest in some..

DIY Bathroom Shelf Organization

Happy Friday! This past weekend I decided to get creative to get some of the clutter off of my bathroom vanity.
Here it is:

For those of you who love jewelry [and have lots of it] you know that those bracelets can get pretty messy when you pile them up in a bowl or on you're counter. This DIY project is really easy and anyone could do it [I promise]

Heres what you need:

Picture Ledge [White | Black]
[NOT SHOWN] have a few thumb tacks and a hammer handy!

You can most likely locate the cup hooks at your local Lowe's/ Home Depot/ Walmart [They come in a little package of 10-20ish] But before you rush to for your wallets...

Here's the do's and don'ts:
Please Please [Please] Don't make this mistake. If you get the screw eye hooks, you might be able to tell... [but you won't be able to hang anything] This might sound silly, but trust me - This is a common mistake!

Now that you have all of your supplies:
1. Measure the length of the bottom [underneath] of the shelf
2. Mark out the spots where you are going to put your hooks [I put mine 3" apart from each other with 6 hooks ]
3. Use your thumb tacks and hammer to start holes in each of your marked spots.
4. Twist the hooks into those holes.

Once you have your finshed product, you can hang it on the wall! HINT:[You can download a free level app on you're iphone to help hang it evenly]

Love this DIY mini project and want to try it yourself? [Email me images of your project and show me how you've done it!]

Blog Update

What's going to be new on the blog?
I'm going to attempt a few different weekly series. If you're a dedicated reader, [Which for my sake, I hope you are :)] You're going to start seeing posts like these around here

This is either going to work and get me into a routine. [fingers crossed] Or I could forget that I attempted to start this and it will [fail miserably]

Wish me luck!
