I can't believe I've been in Charlotte for a year! All this moving, packing and excitement about my new place has got me on a shopping rampage. I've got the typical designer fever - new home means new stuff....{completely redesigning my new home is acceptable right?} Well, lately I've been hitting the good ole' internet during my lunch breaks, and the wee hours of the night just dreaming of all the pretty things I want to buy and wish I could afford. {post on where to shop on a budget coming soon!}

For today, Here's a list of my favorite coffee table books that I've been swooning over! Cupcakes and Cashmere has been one of my favorite lifestyle/ fashion/ design blogs for a long time now and of course Emily's blog-titled book was the first to start my collection. {i'm also guilty of gifting this book to friends.. it's THAT good!}

Oscars and Interiors

Watching the Oscars on Sunday night, I couldn't help but focus on the beautiful people and outfits that graced the stage throughout the night.  While I knew that all of my favorite fashion blogs were going to have posts the next day on the best dressed and their top ten favorite dress's, my mind was spinning with this crazy idea that I could bring fashion together with design.  Fashion and design are very similar, and I'm here to convince you of that!

Style Series: Skull Candy

I'm so happy to be back with Jaime from Sunflowers and Stilettos today! You might remember our Color Splash post last month on Winter Whites. We enjoyed bringing you a fashion and design inspired post so much that we are coming back with more!

Today's Style Series post is all about a trend you've probably seen and maybe even taken part in; skulls. Who doesn't like to feel a little badass with a skull scarf or phone case to show off around town?

Today Jaime and I are mixing it up and showing you how to bring skulls into your wardrobe and home. Skulls don't have to be all dark and dreary; mixing metallics with skulls is a great and easy way to brighten up the look and make it more feminine and welcoming.
